Happy Birthday Pac Man

I forgot to buy a birthday card.

Pac Man turned thirty today. Where does the time go?

Pac Man was already a few years old by the time I learned how to play video games.

You were still somewhat popular then but you were fading fast.

The powers that be introduced your wife Ms. Pac Man who many at the arcade "played" with for awhile until they became tired of her as well.

Then there was the Pac Man cartoon show that did not last to long.

I don't remember hearing to much about Pac Man after that.

Like anything else, fads come and fads go.
I wonder if Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man are still married?

Happy Birthday Pac Man.

Bad Bosses

Bill Lumbergh From the movie "Office Space"

This is a post I wanted to do for a long time.
Bad Bosses!
I am Neil Bytes and I have a Bad Boss.

What makes a bad boss?

1.) A boss who is quick to blame and reluctant to give praise.

2.) A boss who states every day that you can be replaced.

3.) A boss who expects you to do the work of two or three people.

4.) A boss who gossips about you behind your back.

5.) A boss who says you do good work verbally but "trashes" you in your yearly review.

6.) A boss who asks you to do illegal or unethical deeds.

7.) A boss who screams at you in front of other people in the office.

So, what else makes a bad boss? Feel free to comment.

VE Day

Today commemorates Victory in Europe Day. (VE Day)
This is the day when Germany unconditionally surrendered to the Allied Forces effectively ending World War II in Europe.

For nearly six years, nearly all of Europe was in engaged in intense fighting, costing millions of soldiers and civilians their lives. Air raids, machine gun fire, and vast destruction were constant in every day European life.

I have talked to many World War II veterans over the years. The sacrifices these soldiers made in defense of our country, as well as, liberating Europe from tyranny need to be told. Now more then ever.

Each passing year, The number of Word War II veterans are decreasing. The average age of a WWII Veteran is between eighty and eight five.

I believe more documentaries and programs about World War II need to be shown on television, such as the History channel.

I have to say that I was angry that there was nothing on the History Channel to commemorate VE Day. There was an "Ax Men" marathon on for most of the day. Now there something on about Aliens? Aliens!?

There is no excuse for this. World War II programs / documentaries about VE Day should have been on the History Channel today.

I hope this oversight is corrected for next year.
