Christmas Movies

Only a few more days until Christmas. Those stressful days of cleaning up the house, rigging up the lights, baking the cookies, and all the food preparation can you drive you crazy.

A good way to unwind is to watch one of the many Christmas movies that have been made over the last twenty to sixty years.

Here is a synopsis of some of the more favorite Christmas movies now showing on cable.

"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"

A middle aged delusional man that wants to have the perfect Christmas with his dysfunctional family. This includes his two children that keep getting recast from the previous two "Vacation" movies.

"It's A Wonderful Life"

A man from a rural town who reluctantly takes over his father's failing business and contemplates suicide when times get tough. Believes he meets a guardian angel that shows him what life would be like if he was never born. Does he survive?

"A Christmas Story"

A young boy who wants a toy gun for Christmas. Also involves a frozen flag pole, a bunny suite, and and a must be "Italian" lamp.

"A Christmas Carol" or "Scrooge"

Many versions of this film (My favorite is the George C. Scott version.) A bitter rich old man that hallucinates on Christmas Eve that he sees the ghost of his dead business partner and three spirits. What "spirits" was he drinking?"

" White Christmas"

Bing Crosby sings about dreaming of a white Christmas. Danny Kaye tap dances.
No picture needed.
There you have it. Bring out the popcorn, egg nog, and some cookies and enjoy a Christmas flick this holiday season
